Tiskita offers retreat leaders a remote, nature-immersed setting for yoga, mindfulness, wellness and educational groups. The lodge sits inside an 800-acre private biological reserve, with cabins tucked into the jungle around the main lodge.
Guests wake to the sounds of wildlife, ocean air and the rhythm of the rainforest — a setting that helps groups feel welcomed, grounded and far away from everyday noise.
OUR SPACE SHALA
Our open-air yoga deck is surrounded by trees, faces the ocean on two sides and has sunset views through the forest. The space is open to the natural surroundings, with roll-down curtains for sun or light rain, Wi-Fi, electricity and a small bathroom nearby.
The deck fits around 20 people comfortably, with space for up to 30 depending on the practice. It also has a back wall for inversions and a water filter for participants.
Yoga props available: 30 mats, 60 blocks, 30 straps and 30 bolsters. A massage table is also available on site.
CABINS ROOMING OPTIONS
Tiskita’s cabins have grown organically over time, using fallen trees from the property, which means each cabin has its own character. Retreat groups can use a mix of private bungalows, bungalow triples and larger multi-room casitas. Pricing is based per room.
Some cabins are close to the yoga deck, while others offer wider ocean views or more privacy. This gives retreat leaders flexibility for teachers, couples, singles, shared rooms and small groups.
Please ask us about the different room configurations: A popular option is to book the rooms closest to the Shala: Howler 1-2-3, Black Iguana 4-5, Kinkajou 6, Agouti 7, Titi 8. This arrangement easily accommodates 14-18 people with a mix of single/double/triple rooms.
NOURISHMENT FRESH LOCAL MEALS
Most of our staff is local to Punta Banco, and our meals are rooted in Costa Rican home cooking, prepared in a fresh and healthy way. We have over the years introduced more international dishes (Buddah bowls, Fish tacos, Kitchari, Falafel bowls, etc). We can work with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary preferences.
Retreat meals can usually be scheduled around your practice times. A typical retreat rhythm includes breakfast around 8:00–8:30am, lunch around 12:30–1:30pm and dinner around 6:30pm.
